Some of you may be familiar with Cassandra Poppe through her contributions as a writer at catholicmom.com. Earlier this week, her 4-year old son Fulton (guess who he’s named after) suffered severe burns on 40% of his body, including his face, arms and chest, and had to be airlifted from his hometown in Oklahoma for special treatment in Galveston, TX, where he’ll remain for several months.
Because he’ll need this special extended treatment away from home, that means his five siblings will be without whichever parent is staying with him at a given time. You can imagine the travel and lodging expenses alone, before you even get into the cost of the medical bills.
The need is urgent, and the help is simple to provide. Just go to the special fundraising site that’s been set up to help the Poppe family, and make your contribution of $5, $10, or whatever you can give. And pray through the intercession of Servant of God Fulton Sheen for a swift recovery for his namesake!
